Project history: The first pair were ordered in 1893 and the remainder in 1897. They proved to be reasonable seaboats and highly manoeuvrable, with a radius of about 100nm and a maximum trials speed of 17.5kts.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: They finished their careers in 1909 in the 'défense mobile' at Saigon.
