Project history: Most effective of German midget submarines. They were equipped with automobile diesel for surface propulsion and thanks to what possessed a significant endurance. A diving depth was up to 50m, minimal diving time was 5sec; seaworthiness was up to 4 by Beaufort. Boats of this type were arranged from three completely ready sections. Two incomplete boats and some assembling sets were carried to 196 Yd in Leningrad, one submarine was completed and a little time used for tests.
